WatchDog Pet Tracking App
Keeping track of your pet's health and safety.
As a pet owner I hold great interest in conceptualizing and prototyping a companion application to a pet wearable.
A product that would help me understand if my dog is hitting goals that determine a healthy lifestyle - whether those are simple activities I track for myself or goals prescribed by my veterinarian.

Research Practices
After reviewing applications with similar intent it became clear that they each offered niche features. None offered the ability to send statistics to a veterinarian.
Knowing that we and our vet can view the same data and have a mutual understanding of our pet's health provides peace of mind. This mixture of transparency and connection avoids the barriers of jargon.
Vet Connect User Flow and Mockups
The value of this feature is in the ability to share the core tracking feature with a Vet without making an appointment.
Sharing data as opposed to potentially unfounded concerns allows for a streamlined relationship with your Vet and ideally a mutual understanding of anything deemed emergent.
Tracking Practices
A transparent feedback loop is maintained by sharing statistics with a Vet, including any goals a user would wish to track themselves. My goal was to keep the range of trackable activities flexible but remain limited to actions a wearable could track. Providing sample activities and a space for more specific trackable items was the chosen set up process for this task.
